She Climbs!

We've discovered Emily in some pretty interesting places lately.....

ON the piano

This surely puts Jerry Lee Lewis to shame!

IN the dishwasher.... do you think she's trying to be helpful and unload the clean dishes??
Me, either....


She's able to scale our dining chairs now and LOVES the view from the table.

And, in one of her finer moments, decided to "help" by clearing off my scrapbook table and (I guess) get a closer look at the pictures on the wall above it.

She's always so very proud of herself!

Certainly the scariest for me was to find her on the bathroom counter. She'd climbed on to the toilet, then up on the edge and then stood up. She sure loved all of the big girls' stuff in the bins on the shelf there...

While it isn't in Emily's best interest to be so far off the ground (and we do our best to prevent her exploits ~ PROMISE!), we do have to stop for a moment and appreciate the fact that she CAN climb, considering all she's been through. It is others I get to thank for pointing that out.

As I write, we are just THREE weeks away from nursery at church, and Emily (and her mom and dad) is READY!!

Emily is talking a little more these days and said, after I'd handed her something to give to Nathan, "Naaa-nan!! aawre yooouu??!"

What a doll.
