Superior!

Elizabeth participated in the District III SoloFest on Tuesday and, with 34 out of 35 points, she earned a Superior rating!

Here is the judge's critique sheet:

I didn't know it to listen that she mixed up the words a bit. The song was in Italian, so the words weren't understood anyway. She did a great job covering her fix, sparing any body language that would have told of the trouble. It was for this that she lost the one point...

I've decided to no longer even try not to cry when I watch her sing. Any of my girls, really. It just isn't possible. will however still work to not make any funny noises through my tears. I hope they appreciate that!

Her choir director told her that next year she'd be singing a song that really kicked her tail. Can't wait to see her triumph!

Nursery

A milestone we've been looking forward to finally was reached this past Sunday. Emily went to nursery for the first time! She was 18 months old on the 25th, which was the golden ticket in!! She's been ready for several weeks, and we were glad that she finally got to go.

I realize it's a little geeky, but I took pictures and even videoed our dropping her off. Come to find out I read the roster wrong and we put her in the wrong room, but that error will be fixed next time for sure. Our ward only has FIVE nurseries!
At one point Nathan and Emily were in the same room ~ something we'd told him wouldn't happen. He was a good big brother, though, and took it all in stride.
He loves nursery so much, it was nice of him to share!

Yep, it's a picture through the bottom part of the window into the room where she was having singing time.

And here's the video... only two people looked at me funny... you can see how busy the hall is!
We love our EmiLady and are so glad she's loving this new adventure!
