I'm so pleased to be 9 for 9 in taking pictures of Emily on her monthly "birthdays". I think she's probably the first I've actually made it this far with no oopses. I know....the others could very well be in therapy one day thanks to this little detail. If not for this, there'll be something else I'm sure! :)

I actually have Liz to thank for snapping these adorable shots. Emily has the best smile these days! Tonight we were eating dinner and she was sitting in her chair at the table and would SCREAM just to get our attention and then give that terrific cheesy grin to the first person she saw looking at her. What a doll!

She does however have an official alter-ego. Her name is Schmemily Meeman.... and she is not pleasant to be around! We had a few hours of Schmemily this morning, until a nap brought our darling Emily back to us. Schmemily fussed and finally all out cried in her chair with her breakfast in front of her until I picked her up and fed her bites while I held her. She was happy about being hand-fed, and would have nothing to do with exactly the same food (egg, muffin and cantaloupe) that she could have eaten on her own. Oh that Schmemily!

So Monday was the official day ~ nine months already! She is hitting milestones and gaining strength all the time. Our awesome PT always has nice things to say when she comes each week! Em is showing more interest and motivation to change positions, giving us hope that she may actually crawl before she walks. :)
Schmemily or Emily ~ we are glad she's ours!

She does seem to always be smiling or at least on the verge. Yes, you are blessed, even with the Emily-alter.
You have a very cute girl there! Believe me I have not met a kid without an alterego.
She is a cute smiler! Way to go on the "9 for 9"! I have a blemished record for that on all 4 of my kids.
Also, I have been meaning to thank you again for dinner the other week. (I hope a blog comment conveys the same meaning because if I wait until tomorrow life will start up again and I will forget.) Anyway, we so enjoy being with your family and I hope we can do such things together more often. It is our turn to have you over next!
