"She's REALLY Good"

Those were the words I heard the girls sitting behind me say as Elizabeth finished the National Anthem yesterday at her school-wide assembly. This was Liz's second time singing the Anthem for an event, but the first she had to try out for. She was selected and did an amazing job! The girls behind me (sixth graders) went on to say, "there's NO way I'd get up there and do that!" Oh 11-year olds are so funny.

The bulk of the assembly was a kids vs. teachers basketball game (which the kids came from behind and won in the last minute ~ go team!), but beforehand the Dance Team performed their "cheer" dance. Liz is pretty much in the middle of the frame the entire time. She gets to catch the girl at the top of the pyramid!

Liz had a great time on the Dance Team and is now running her buns off in track. Whew!
