A Really Dumb Ab Workout

After reading my last couple of posts, I have realized I shouldn't write at the very end of the day, when I'm tired. I sound sassy and punchy, and would rather avoid that.

Just in time to be able to spend a little time on my sides when I'm lying down (yay!) I've found quite a cough. I'm VERY thankful this didn't come a week ago, when it still would have been scary to cough with any regularity. But now I can't lie (lay? ~ I know the difference but can't climb through the fuzz in my head right this minute) on my back without coughing like crazy. Oh when will this end.

But what I'm finding is that my stomach muscles are getting a workout they didn't ask for. Granted they really need the work, but I was hoping I could start on them when I was ready, on my terms and in a couple of weeks.

Onto better things....

Today was Elizabeth's last volleyball game. She's won some and she's lost some, but had a good time and by the number of high fives and girls hanging around to chat, I'd say she's made some friends along the way.

Now she'll transition into Dance Team, which should be fun for her.

In the way of an Emily update:
After a crummy night on Monday, we had a really good night last night. I wasn't feeling very well and with Kurt gone, I laid Emily on his side of the bed between feedings. She slept and slept. So today I laid her in her bed ~ flat ~ for the first time. She lasted about 20 minutes the first time, then after settling her in again, went nearly 30. It's a start.

She's starting to be sensitive to noise when she's sleeping. I've been able to vacuum under her already without disturbing her, but Nathan screaming today brought her nap to an end. We're working on what "be quiet!" means.

Can a baby get tired of having her picture taken? Here's Emily giving me a "leave me alone" face.
